About

My name is Vikrant Singh Chauhan and I do a lot of things.

If you find any work over the internet attributed to ivx, 1vx, 0xcrypto, ivxenog, technicallywrong, techincallyright, hackberry.xyz, any email over domain hackberry.xyz, defaultred.com or eval.blog, it has been done by me. I have done so much as anonymous that keeping track of things is now hard. But this is my main blog where I use my real name. However to confirm if it was really me, you can ask me by dropping an email at vi [at] hackberry [dot] xyz.

dig

I started programming in 2010 and since then I have been a web dev, a backend dev, a security researcher and a software dev. Money keeps labelling me with whatever money people thinks I am. But I don't care anymore and labels don't define me. I will become whatever can justify my skills and art.

Some call me bug bounty hunter but I hate this term. Rather than emphasizing the fact that I hunt bugs, this term focuses on the word "bounty". What a pathetic and downgrading term. Security researcher suits better, I think. After all, my efforts are usually around finding bugs that can affect security.

Other people categorize me as a developer and that's how I think I can justify myself as well. I have been making MVC applications for quite long time such that I can spin up my own frameworks in a few hours. But it is a skill and not art. Skills comes from muscle memory, art comes from thinking.

I also do cloud. Yes cloud, a behemoth of a capitalistic sandbox that companies think can help them "scale better" when their server stress are a few thousands of users. Considering its useless complexities, and in general stupidity among majority, working on cloud operations pays good.

So yeah, I am a developer who builds applications, security researcher who hacks things and an operations engineer who configures cloud in general. Together, I am best called as a DevSecOps Engineer although I don't have an engineering degree.

Rant aside, I do specialize in security, software and the cloud and presently working as a Security Software Developer at MobileHackingLab. If you are (or your company is) hiring, send an email to vi [at] hackberry [dot] xyz and I would be happy to share my full CV. Please use official email so that I can distinguish between scam artists/bots and geniune people.
